Research of the PAA Operation under Time-Varying Overloads

In this paper, the pattern of the phased antenna array 290*330 mm is analyzed taking into account the peak deformations caused by gravity and volume overloads of 10g. It is found that for the selected fixing scheme the antenna gain in the deformed state is reduced by 3-5 dB. Taking into account the obtained results, the general requirements to the material and method of phased antenna array fixing were formulated. These recommendations allow to reduce the impact of overloading by 60-70% without significant complications of the design.
