Intrusion Detection System for Live Anomaly-Based Network Packets

In the evolving landscape of network technology, the surge in cyber-attacks poses a significant security risk, necessitating strong countermeasures. Many Intrusion detection systems have been proposed for countermeasures but there are not so many for anomaly-based detection. This article introduces a user interfaced Intrusion Detection System (IDS) which detect live individual packets in real-time for anomaly-based attacks, addressing the imperative of safeguarding computer networks and systems. The IDS classifies live individual or set of network packets in an in-depth manner and provides a pop up for the result. This system is designed to classify packets on a smaller but important set of attributes of network statistics. Due to comprehensive training and real-world adaptability, the IDS demonstrates precise classification of live packets originating from simulated attacks, thus offering a compelling advancement in intrusion detection capabilities.
