Structural Design and Key Technology Research of Simulator for Branch Airports Controller Training

At present, the control operation mode of most branch airports in China is the integration of the tower and the approach, so the simulator training for the controllers needs to have the visual simulation function of the tower. The existing radar/non-radar simulator cannot meet this demand. The traditional tower simulator is difficult to put into practice due to the area and high cost, and the visual simulation of the existing tower simulator can not meet the needs of long-distance visual of “tower and approach integration”. In view of the above problems, a simple and efficient control simulator was designed and proposed as “The tower and approach controller integration training simulator” ( “tower and approach integration” in short in the message) which is easier to deploy and put in practice in branch airports. An aircraft target rendering algorithm based on distance segmentation is proposed to improve the long-range high imaging effect of aircraft in visual simulation and reduce the construction and use cost, if it put in practice, which can solve the problem that the type of controller license endorsement, the actual situation of work is inconsistent with the training content, so as to make it conform to the requirements of the current regulations.
