Dynamic Access Control Algorithm to Detect and Defend Intrusion for IoT Nodes

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the underlying technology that connects daily devices to the Internet and provides intelligent service facilities. These eye-catching figures make it an attractive playground for cybercriminals. In addition, IoT devices are built using resource constrained architectures to provide compact dimensions and competitive prices. Therefore, integrating complex network security features goes beyond the computing power of IoT. This article proposes an intrusion detection system (IDS) based on LSTM, which has a dynamic access control (DAC) algorithm that can not only detect intrusions but also defend against them. Unlike most IDS, the proposed IDS model is selected and optimized through mathematical analysis. In addition, it detects 14 types of security higher than other IDS. The accuracy, recall, and Fl scores are 97.0%, 97.1%, and 97.0%, respectively.
