Composite K-/Ka-Band Planner Antenna Elements with A Shared-Radiation Patch

This paper proposed a novel scheme of composite planner antenna elements with a shared-radiation patch which can operate in both K-band and Ka-band. Both of the two antennas radiate into free space via the same physical aperture. The simulation results of the proposed antennas demonstrate that, the composite antenna elements can obtain a relative bandwidth of 10.25% of K-band and a relative bandwidth of 15.38% of Ka-band, respectively.
