Simulation vs Measurement: Comparing PCB design simulations data with the board measured data, importance of the modeling accuracy for better corelation at multi GHz frequencies

This paper presents an overview of the analysis activity carried out to compare s parameter output of a pcb design simulation with the measured data from a physical board and to study the importance of accurate modeling of interconnect’s physical parameters, simulation inputs and a proper measurement environment setup for a better correlation of simulation data with the measurement data.
