Design and Implementation of Proximity Sensor- based Chocolate Vending Machine

This abstract outline the design and functionality of a Chocolate Vending Machine (CVM) that utilizes proximity sensors to enhance user experience and streamline the vending process. The Proximity Sensor-Based Chocolate Vending Machine (PS-CVM) is a novel innovation designed to provide a convenient and efficient way for users to access a variety of chocolate products. People usually buy chocolates from a vendor who owns a shop. It will not be available all the time, especially at night, the shop will be closed. The owners will collect amount manually from the customers and it takes more time when crowded. In order to overcome these drawbacks, the automatic vending machine idea is introduced. No manual work is involved, when the amount for product is dropped on the sensor plate and the serial number of chocolate which is to be selected, the corresponding chocolate will be dropped in the collecting tray once the proximity sensor detects the coin. The vending machine is designed to hold and dispense a wide range of chocolate products. The coin or the amount should be given in order to get the product. The chocolate can be selected only from the options that are available on the LCD. One can choose only one chocolate at a time. If the customer wants to select the other candy, the process should be repeated. The name and the quantity of the chocolates chosen will be displayed in the LCD for customer's reference. Then, the chocolates can be taken from the candy tray. The advantage is that manual work is reduced hence time will be consumed. It can be used as per customer needs at any time. It does not require any skilled person hence anyone use this machine. The PS-CVM represents a significant step forward in vending machine technology, enhancing user convenience, safety, and interaction.
