Design of Robotic Arm with Three Degree of Freedom (DOF) operated by Bluetooth enabled Smartphones

In 2022, the industrial sector contributed 29 percent of India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). On an average, approximately 340 million occupational accidents occur each year. This article is about the design of a robotic arm with three degrees of freedom, which is used for collecting and placing objects. A self-configuring, automated three-degree robotic arm that can assist the industrial sector in addressing the problem and preventing occupational accidents is proposed. To establish the wireless communication, HC 05 Bluetooth module is enabled to provide the product’s path and thereby reducing component damage. It consists mostly of three seals, a gripper, two shackles of rectangular shape, a rotating table and a rectangular platform. The angular rotation of each gasket is supplied with a DC motor. DC motors are used to power the robotic arm which generally increases the lift capacity and inexpensive when compared to the servomotors. The robotic arm design process involved a number of static and dynamic computations, mechanical properties computations and prototype trials to deliver an end product with well-established structure and functionality.
