Design and Development of Dynamic Water Quality Monitoring System for Aquaculture

Aquaculture plays a vital role in meeting the increasing global demand for seafood. However, maintaining water quality in aquaculture systems is paramount for the health and growth of aquatic organisms. Hence, this work is focused on developing a monitoring system for aquaculture ponds to address this critical need. The system integrates state-of-the-art sensors, wireless communication, and data analytics to provide real-time monitoring and management of water quality parameters. By continuously assessing factors such as dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature, ammonia, and turbidity, aqua culturists can make informed decisions to optimize environmental conditions. The proposed system automatically, adjust the motor from ON to OFF and OFF to ON whenever there is an abnormality has been observed from the above-mentioned parameters and also sending alerts to the user. Additionally, the system incorporates predictive modeling to anticipate potential issues and automate corrective actions. Ultimately, this study contributes to sustainable aquaculture practices and improved yields while reducing environmental impact.
