Color Depiction and Push Notification System for Daily Sounds

Human perception of surrounding events isstrongly dependent on sounds they hear, however there are some individuals who find it difficult or hard to hear. The main idea behind this project is to relive some discomfort to individuals with cognitive difficulties and impairments in hearing. There are some existing systems like Bed shakers, Olfactory alarm, Vibration Devices, Hearing-dog Robot etc.., but they are not fully functional. The Color Depiction and Push Notification system will provide a visual representation of various common events occurring in their surroundings through light emitted from the Smart Bulbs and through mobile notifications when they are lit on activation by surrounding sounds. Some common events being Dog Barking, Chirping Birds, Doorbell ringing, Door knocking, People calling, Fire alarm, Security alarm ringing, Overflow of water, etc… this is accomplished by providing the individuals to perceive the sounds around them through sight, this is expected to overcome the problems faced by the individuals with hearing impairments by using Artificial Neural Networks(ANN), therefore bridging the gap between hearing and non-hearing communities and improving their living standards by the application of science and technology.
