The Time Based Graduates Predictions on NonAcademic Activities using Naïve Bayes

Student non-academic activities have no influence on academic scores in lectures such as the Association, UKM (Student Activity Unit), and other organizations. Even though it does not affect academic scores, some students continue to participate in various non-academic activities due to curiosity, a desire to broaden their horizons. And it is not uncommon for us to find some of our friends who are very active in non-academic activities. And it becomes a common stigma for students that “Students who take part in non-academic activities will affect their academic scores in lectures.” Therefore, the authors researched to predict timely graduation based on student nonacademic activities using the naïve Bayes method. They are starting with collecting data from students through a questionnaire using parameters such as gender, the semester that has been taken, and the number of non-academic activities that have been attended. Then the data that has been collected will be grouped based on the parameters that have been obtained. Furthermore, predictions of graduation on time will be carried out using the naïve Bayes method. And the result will determine the prediction results of the student will graduate on time or too late. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview for students to be better prepared and balance nonacademic activities with academic activities to graduate on time.
