A Study on Implementation of Cyber Physical Systems in Smart Home

Smart home constitutes of different smart devices which automates home and offers a tremendous benefits like comfort, energy efficiency, safety, remote control etc. Cyber physical systems are boosting the development of smart home by reducing the gap between physical and digital world. Energy efficiency is one of the important aspects of smart home that appeal to consumers towards the reduction in energy consumption. Typical home consumes lots of energy during the period when appliances are not in use and still it drawing some power. In this work a case study is conducted at author's home to find out the scope of reduction in energy consumption by using some smart devices like smart led bulb, smart plug etc. After that a smart home simulation is performed on the Home I/O to automate the different zones of home. Energy consumption and electricity saving difference is find out from different home automation scenario.
