Gender Equality in the Kingdom of Bahrain in light of Sustainable Development Plans

The elimination of all forms of discrimination against women is not only a fundamental human right but also a critical factor in accelerating sustainable development, as recognized in the fifth sustainable development goal, which helps to drive economic growth and development in all areas. Therefore, since 2000, the United Nations has been focusing on gender equality as a focus of UNDP. The Kingdom of Bahrain has played a significant role in issues of women empowerment and gender equality. That's why the paper aims to highlight this role. The paper was reached at through an analysis of women's participation in politics and representation Also, the presence in the labor market is also on track to achieve the fifth goal of the United Nations.
