Research on Frequency Division MIMO Radar Imaging System

Among the main implementation forms of MIMO radar, only frequency division MIMO radar can meet the real-time imaging requirements under ultra wideband conditions. The miniaturization is currently an important direction for its development. Additionally, most real-time performance is difficult to guarantee in traditional processing flow of frequency division MIMO radar. This paper proposes an integrated machine for frequency division MIMO radar that integrates transmitter, receiver, signal processing, imaging, and display. The frequency division MIMO of this new system utilizes multiple transmitting antennas to simultaneously transmit sweep signals at certain frequency intervals, achieving frequency orthogonality. By using multiple receiving antennas to simultaneously receive the scattered waveform of the target, a single snapshot can be achieved under ultra wideband conditions. The system utilizes multiple transmitting antennas to simultaneously transmit sweep signals with frequency increments, achieving frequency orthogonality. Multiple receiving antennas simultaneously receive scattered waveforms of targets, which can obtain target information through a single snapshot, greatly reducing the time required to obtain data.
