Development of Experimental Teaching Device for System Identification Based on Physical White Box

In order to lower the entry barrier to system identification learning, a set of experimental teaching device was developed, including a ‘white box’ whose internal structure comprised of first-order and second-order circuits with unknown parameters, a waveform measurement tool based on STM32F103 microcontroller, and host computer software used for waveform data analysis. The experiment content based on the step response method has also been designed. The test results indicate that the circuit design of the ‘white box’ is correct, and the waveform measurement tool is designed reasonably and measured accurately, making it suitable for system identification experimental teaching.
