Structural Design and Analysis of an AMR Chassis for Industrial Payload Transportation

Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) play a crucial role in autonomously transporting payloads from one point to another in the industrial floor space. Considering the significance of this application in the Indian industrial context, there is a strong emphasis on developing a cost-effective AMR that ensures safe payload transportation within the industrial floor space. This research paper focuses on designing and developing an AMR chassis specifically tailored for small and medium-scale Indian industries, addressing the need for efficient payload transportation within the industrial floor space. The uniqueness of the AMR lies in its innovative mechanical body, engineered to maintain a reasonable Factor of Safety (FoS). Its reliability is validated through rigorous static and dynamic analyses, accounting for various scenarios.
