REMAS: Real-Time Emergency and Monitoring Alert System for Neonatal Incubator using IoT

This study proposes a Real-Time Emergency and Monitoring Alert System for Baby Incubators using the Internet of Things (IoT). This system aims to improve the safety of premature babies treated in incubators by continuously monitoring the environmental conditions of the incubators using sensors connected to the internet. Data from these sensors are sent directly to the server via the internet network to be processed for analysis and stored in a database. This system is also equipped with an automatic notification feature in an emergency, such as a dangerous increase in temperature. This notification will be received by parents or medical staff via the Line application so that they can immediately provide the treatment they need. In addition, parents and medical staff can see the condition of the incubator in real-time via a web page. The system test results show that the web application can work properly, and the IoT device can accurately monitor the environmental conditions of the incubator and baby’s environmental conditions and provide real-time notifications when an emergency occurs with a delivery delay of 0-3 seconds. As for the results of sending data to the database for 80 minutes with a delay of 1 second, 4010 of 4800 data were obtained, which means the percentage of missing value is 16.45%, and the range of sensor values is between 32.2°C to 35.3°C.
