The Grid Searching Positioning Method Based on the Ultra Wide-Band

With the development of the Internet of Things and communication industry, ultra wide-band (UWB) technology is increasingly widely applied in the field of positioning. However, in some complex scenarios, the traditional three-circle intersecting algorithm is difficult to give positioning results, and it also requires at least three anchors to work properly. To solve this problem, this article proposes a positioning method based on searching grids, which divides the positioning site into a number of grids and finds the grids where the tag is located based on the distance from the anchors to the tag. When the number of ranges between the anchors and the tag is insufficient, a dynamic threshold is used to ensure that there are still grids to be selected. After selecting grids, Kalman filter is being used to optimize the position and dynamic and static experimental results show that this method has good results.
