Design and Development of IoT Camera with CHATBOT for Domestic Surveillance

The Internet of Things (IoT) is an increasingly influential technology that is shaping our future by connecting physical devices through the internet. To enhance security measures and establish a wireless smart campus, this proposed work aims to optimize the existing wireless video surveillance system using IoT. This approach enables coordinated tracking over a wide area, ensuring superior tracking and monitoring capabilities. Detecting and responding to suspicious activities is a critical task for security personnel in today's context, with a particular emphasis on the safety of pets and children. Traditional AI cameras offer solutions for monitoring, but they do not provide real-time images of children, and manual supervision can be costly and impractical. To address this issue, the proposed solution involves the design of a smart IoT camera that can communicate and provide real-time images at a minimal cost. These cameras can engage in conversations and send images via a chat platform like Telegram and Whatsapp. IoT cameras contribute to real-time building access monitoring, offering remote streaming capabilities accessible from anywhere. Some IoT security cameras even incorporate advanced features such as facial recognition and computer vision to identify intruders or suspicious individuals. The front end of this work includes a video processing module that analyses monitored images and applies sophisticated algorithms to compare them with user-defined security criteria. Making a Chatbot is the first step in enabling the IoT camera to participate in discussions, reply to messages, and review them. When a security threat is detected, the monitoring system triggers an immediate alert. This technology can be applied in various domains, including public safety monitoring and residential community surveillance.
