Sustainable Cultivation of Algae for Renewable Fuel Using IOT

Biofuels are the alternate type of fuel and which completely carbon neutral fuel. The fuel produced from the algae are the Third-generation fuel. The proposed process involves the cultivation of algae in a sustainable manner. The process involves separation of biomass from the cultivated algae, dried and extracting oils and lipids for fuel production using chemical/physical methods. The Bagasse (i.e., the dried material after extracting the oil from the algae biomass) can be used as a manure as it has high nitrogen and protein content. The system monitors the growth of the algae with various sensors, it monitors the CO2, Light intensity, Optical Density, Humidity and Temperature of the Bioreactor. These data are collected and processed with the help of IOT.
