Automatic Flow Control Electrolyte Monitoring System

Electrolyte regulates body functions such as nerve and muscle function, hydrate the body, balance blood acidity, maintain pressure and help rebuild damaged tissue. Usually, in hospitals, an electrolyte is administered to patients orally or through an Intravenous (IV) drip. As per studies, an electrolyte is used to treat the imbalance characteristics of a patient. Continuous monitoring of fluid levels is imperative during the administration of saline therapy for conditions such as dehydration and other medical ailments. Instances of inadvertent emptying of the saline container due to lapses in attention or human error can result in the retrograde flow of blood from the patient's circulatory system, leading to critical medical situations that necessitate a more effective solution. In response to the pressing concern, Automatic flow control electrolyte monitoring system is proposed. The system is designed to proactively sense the fluid saline level and promptly alert the hospital's monitoring room when the contents of the saline container dip below a threshold and an automatic flow control is also incorporated. The system relies on the utilization of a load cell equipped with an HX711 amplifier, which precisely detects the level in the fluid. To execute the flow-stop function, an 8mm flow control solenoid valve is integrated, effectively ceasing the saline flow when necessary.
