Design Of Teleophthalmology

The eye is essential in daily activities as a human sense of sight. Humans use their eyes throughout the day for activities, and that results in the possibility of developing eye diseases. With the development of technology, we have entered the era of the everyday use of telemedicine. The spread of the internet network is getting more expansive, and the rapid advancement of mobile and computer technology and the more efficient and effective computing processes have become the foundation for the development of telemedicine. During the pandemic, people’s mobility is limited to reduce the virus’s spread rate. However, the need for eye health services remains. Therefore, we need a system that can connect patients with doctors. This eliminates the need for patients to travel for consultations for minor eye diseases. Doctors are also more protected because they don’t have to meet many people. Patients and doctors can save money as well as time with this system. In this study, a system, a teleophthalmology app, was built to make it easier for patients to get eye disease consultation services. Applications are built using the Flutter framework and database using Firebase. The result of this research is an application that has a function to connect patients and doctors with the concept of anyone, anytime, and anywhere. Through this application, patients can consult with doctors without meeting in person. Doctors can also provide diagnostic services to patients without the need to meet in person, and patient clinical information data can be accessed at any time.
