An Industrial and Public Power Grids Malfunction Detection Towards Data Driven

In this paper, we suggest exploring a concept for distant detection of faulty grid-supporting equipment utilizing little data. These devices and their auxiliary functions, such reactive power dispatch utilized for voltage management, will be crucial to the functioning of future electrical grids. Capability is being created to allow improved monitoring of grid-connected devices to ensure security of supplies and resilience by synthesizing and exploiting operational information from a distribution grid. Data-driven methods of anomaly detection are investigated as a first step. They are used on the device's operating data to identify anomalies. Early results indicate applicability and potential barriers.
