Eco-Friendly Mobility: Design and Implementation of an Electric Three-Wheeler for Efficient Logistics

With the continuing depletion of conventional fossil fuel resources, energy security is becoming a growing concern for almost all countries around the world. Automobiles, being the major consumers of fossil fuel sources, contribute significantly to the major causes of pollution and climate change. Approximately one-fifth of the world’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are attributed to transportation, with logistics accounting for more than 50% of these emissions. Transitioning from conventional fuels to electricity is now widely discussed as a viable option for achieving a greener economy. Extensive research is underway on electric vehicles, but the electric vehicle technology is still in a very nascent stage of development. Multinational mobility companies have already introduced 2-wheel and 4-wheel logistics and passenger electric vehicles. However, goods carrier vehicles play a crucial role in global mobility. In this project, we propose to develop a 3-wheeled electric auto for sustainable logistics. Electricity is used to charge the batteries in electric vehicles instead of fossil fuels like petrol or diesel. Moreover, it is a more cost-effective, eco-friendly, and efficient option.
