Internal stakeholders' views on the management and success factors of RDI projects in Hungarian, Polish and Romanian enterprises 1

The changes of the 21st century mean many milestones in the life of humanity, including businesses and organisations. The fourth and fifth industrial revolutions, the subsequent digital innovations and the unprecedented rise of artificial intelligence have transformed our lives. Names like innovation have emerged and become central to much research. Economic growth can no longer be imagined without breakthroughs in innovation, and without innovation no meaningful economic or even social change can be imagined. However, innovation is not a concept in itself, but a process with considerable risk and uncertainty. Alongside innovation activities, the project approach and the agile approach have become important and have become key competences of the 21st century, especially in the post-pandemic period. The aim of our study is to present the organisational views on innovation (RDI) projects, the perceptions on project management and the success factors of RDI projects. Our aim is to show how Polish, Hungarian and Romanian enterprises perceive RDI projects at the ownership, managerial and employee levels, in order to identify the directions that should be developed for future innovation performance and project success.
