Introducing Energy Storage System to Solar PV Thermoelectric Generator based Hybrid System

MG (Microgrid) needs a storage mechanism to smooth out renewable-based power inconstancy, provide a considerable amount of active power, and avoid long-term reactive power rises in order to keep the voltage profile within the allowable range. This study defines the need for the use of an Energy Storage System (ESS) by comparing three systems, including conventional MG, conventional MG coupled with Thermo Electric Generator (TEG), and just TEG linked solar photo voltaic (SPV) based Microgrid. The third method has been shown to be superior to the other two in terms of reduced complexity in source integration, mitigating the drawbacks of Wind Energy Systems (WES) and Fuel Cell Technology (FCT) integration in practical applications, and delivering more active power with less reactive power absorption. The findings of modelling are analyzed in the MATLAB/Simulink environment
