Near Field Communication Studies in Transportation Business

Near Field Communication provides modern solutions that support the transformation of transportation business to become more effective and efficient, interconnected, user-oriented and plays a role in creating a better transportation experience by providing comfort, speed and safety. This research aims to find derivatives of NFC concept in scientific publications in the field of transportation in the development of the transportation business through diversifying the proposed criteria for selecting alternatives in decision making to obtain topic novelty. Bibliometric processes and analytical hierarchies are applied in the development of analytical techniques to produce topics that are rarely published and become priority alternatives in decision making. Research data uses journal publications from 2018-2022 collected from Google Scholar database with a search system that uses keywords using NFC in transportation. The results found new topics derived from NFC concept in the field of transportation, including vehicle ad hoc networks (Vanet), communication protocols (CP), white boxes (IOV), message queue telemetry transport (MQTT), intelligent transportation systems and services (ITSS). Vanet, MQTT and white box are three alternatives that are the main priority as a result of this study which can be developed more deeply in the field of transportation for the sake of developing effective and modern science and technology. The three alternatives found are recommended to be developed in various transactions in the current transportation business.
