On-Premise Method for Digital Signing in Indonesian Government CA iOTENTIK

Digital signature plays an important role in Indonesia's digital transformation. The government continues accelerating the implementation of digital signatures, indicated by the increasing adoption of digital signature utilization during the pandemic. This makes the role of digital signature very crucial in digital transactions. iOTENTIK is one of the government Certification Authorities registered and recognized by the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, which serves as the digital signature service for government institutions. As the number of partners and digital signature transactions increased, the cloud signing method used by iOTENTIK to serve all partners became unreliable. Various problems arose, such as signature failures and connection stability issues. This paper describes the utilization of on-premise method used by iOTENTIK to overcome these problems.
