Educative Trading Card Game CultureQuest: A Post Mortem Analysis

In this paper, we present CultureQuest, an educational trading card games intended to educate its users about Indonesian local feature. It uses the basic trading card game mechanic where users use cards in hand to battle against its opponent. However, each of the character in the game contains educative content about Indonesian local features such as character from Indonesian folk tale, unique animals, and cultural items. The objective of this paper is to discuss the postmortem analysis of the development of CultureQuest. We will go through the overview of project, the technical features, and the challenge and shortcoming that appears during the development process. We will also discuss the usability test and result of the test and it educational impacts on its users.
