Abstract:

In the modern world, securing digital material while it is being sent and stored via unsecured communication channels and databases is a highly challenging issue. Image cryptosystems differ from text-based cryptosystems due to the inherent qualities of images, such as their significant redundancy and capacity for large amounts of data, which are typically challenging to manage by traditional techniques. This article presents a novel color image cryptographic scheme based on a nice matrix created by transcendental numbers and elliptic curve cryptography. The proposed method successfully addresses the most essential features of image encryption: diffusion and confusion. The nice matrix generated by elliptic curve cryptography and the decimal expansion of transcendental number is used for the diffusion process. It employs the XOR technique to confuse the image pixels between the plain and cipher images. Also, Various experimental investigations are carried out and evaluated in detail, conducted with extensive evaluation, exhibiting the high level of security of the proposed encryption scheme.
