Congestion Control Approach in Software Defined Network Using Buffer Size Parameter

The software-defined network (SDN) allows a network administrator to shape traffic from a centralized control for which there is not any necessity of monitoring individual switches in the network. A centralized controller was employed for directing the switches so that network services are provided according to requirement without any certain connection amid a server and devices. An effectual path is required for transmitting the data amid devices to server. This route is established with a dynamic connectivity factor method. The link failure in the network results in load imbalance in the network. This research work presents a buffer size parameter in the dynamic connectivity factor technique for recovering link, and balancing the network load. In case of link failure, this technique employs the gadget of higher buffer size for recovering link. The novel mechanism is adopted and its comparison is done with diverse techniques concerning throughput, packet loss and LB.
