Survey on Machine Learning Techniques for the Identification and Classification of Plant Leaf Diseases

Plant diseases might be so severe that no grains are harvested at all. This paper provides an overview of the many techniques to classifying plant diseases. A variety of approaches rely on computer vision and image processing methods. In comparison to a traditional technique, a machine learning methodology makes it easier to diagnose certain diseases. As a result, it can recognise the badly damaged leaves in the images using machine learning techniques. The pictures taken by the camera will be processed using a number of image processing techniques. Classification is the process of categorising each sample into separate categories. Determining the best classification method might be challenging because outcomes are dependent on the input data. This paper examines a few machine learning algorithms for plant leaf disease detection and classifications, as well as a brief overview, in order to detect and classify leaf diseases. Along with these, a few challenges and research gaps, as well as potential solutions are discussed.
