Enhancing ATM Security and Convenience with Fingerprint-Based Biometric Authentication

A research study based on biometric authentication is summarized in this research report. The money withdrawal system that uses biometric authentication is the focus of this research. Since fingerprints are readily available, trustworthy, and highly accurate, they are the biometric property that has been picked out of all others. To increase the security and usability of the system, finger print recognition technology is employed for both identification and verification. This research offers a succinct examination of the intellectual underpinnings and organizational design of fingerprint recognition. The fundamental fingerprint recognition system is made up of four stages: enrollment, recognition, capturing the biometric data, and storage. Second, there is an improvement approach used in the pre-processing stage that removes extraneous information and clarifies the ridge structure. Finally, fingerprint features are extracted in the feature extraction stage, which takes as input the results of the pre-processing phase. In the matching phase, the obtained feature is compared to the database template. Lastly, the database has the characteristics of the stags that match.
