DC Rapid Charging Architecture in a Microgrid for Vehicle-To-Grid Technology

Microgrids potential energies can be stored in batteries of Electric Vehicles (EVs). It can used as storing surplus energy (grid to vehicle, G2V) and sending energy back to the grid (vehicle to grid, V2G) helps microgrid energy management. Putting this theory into practice requires setting up the right architecture and control strategy. This paper presents a construction for fast charging of stage 3 electric vehicles in a V2G-G2V microgrid system. A model of a microgrid test system for connecting electric vehicles includes a DC fast charging station. Simulation studies have established for V2G-G2V power transfer. Test results show that the EV battery actively manages microgrid energy by operating in his G2V V2G mode. This article reviews the current state of EV battery charging capabilities and it simplications for microgrids. Implementation and simulation of instance loading and unloading were studied using MATLAB Simulink software.
