Comparative analysis of Different Modulation Schemes for LMLC in 5G Scenario

In an OFDM, the peak deviation about average is significantly higher. Thus, low PAPR (Peak to Average Power Ratio) fundamentally enhances the cell coverage. At the transmitter side the Power Amplifier must be linear to function properly due to which it does not saturates preventing it from the attenuation. A multicarrier modulation technique is used to transmit the data with the help of sub carriers such as that in case of OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing). The average area per site is also restricted to a few meters due to the usage of higher frequencies. By using lower frequency that is less than 1GHz it may lead to longer ranges and as large cell arise, fewer base stations are needed to serve a given region making it perfect for the rural regions. LMLC fulfills the requirement of affordable connectivity for rural areas having low mobility. Hence, this paper gives an overview of generating low PAPR using π/2 BPSK modulation scheme with window shaping filter coupled with Reimann Matrix based SLM technique and comparing different modulation schemes for LMLC for 5G scenario.
