The Grid-Based Service Discovery in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

It is anticipated that Service Discovery would play a vital role in the future of mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). There are already a variety of service discovery procedures, but many of them are designed for use with wired networks or short-range, ad hoc wireless connections with just one hop. In this research, we offer a new method for discovering services in MANET based on hierarchical grid designs. MANET uses a 2D logical hierarchical grid to divide up the world. We choose a directory node for each grid to store the descriptions of vendors' services that have been recorded in order to respond to requests from users. We suggest service registrations as well as discover propagation strategies to improve the performance of these processes. Grids of registering patterns are used to record the details of the sharing service. When an applicant has a need for a service, it follows the search path to learn more about what's available. Finally, the results prove that our approach is effective over a wide range of connections densities as well as sizes.
