Simulation Analysis of Localizer Antenna of NM7000 Series

Instrument landing system is an important precision approach system in civil aviation. The performance of antenna system affects flight safety. In this paper, firstly, the mathematical model of multi-array radiation field of localizer antenna system is established. Secondly, the mathematical model of spatial synthesis signal is derived, and the calculation methods of DDM and SDM values are summarized. Finally, the common heading beacon antenna systems of NORMARC 7212A and NORMARC 7216A are simulated, and the signal field pattern of Carrier and Sidebands (CSB) and Sidebands Only (SBO), Difference in Depth of Modulation (DDM) and Sum in Depth of Modulation (SDM) value distribution are analyzed, which provides a valuable reference for the research of flight inspection simulation.
