A Comparative Analysis on Varying Transmission Ranges in MANET using AODV

The Mobile Adhoc Network is a small, spontaneous network emerging in the realm of ubiquitous networks. It needs effective management of transmission range in numerous sustainable development fields. A simulation is carried on NS3 using AODV routing over ad hoc networks. These simulations included providing background information and specifying a common transmission range for delivering data packets to the destination node. The study focused on the fast delivery using Johnson and Maltz’s Arbitrary Waypoint model and examining the number of the participating nodes on the efficiency of the AODV protocol, taking into account key metrics such as throughput, latency, packet delivery rate, dropped packets, and overall network utilization. Multiple simulations were conducted; varying the transmission ranges which signifies the fast delivery at lowest power consumption which is the most prominent requirement in the wireless world. Additionally, the study explored the feasibility of dynamically adjusting the transmission range to prolong the nodes’ lifespan.
