ADS-based Redeployment Strategy for Wireless Sensor Networks to Improve Coverage Time and Distance

This study looks at how wireless sensor networks could benefit through a redeployment approach built around mobile sensor nodes and how those networks can benefit from an initial, unplanned deployment of sensor nodes. The proposal also presents a technique that uses an artificial defence system to address the issue of determining a strategy for movement for each sensor network. This approach aims to optimise network coverage while minimising the total distance travelled by the sensors. The steps of the technique proposed in this article are as follows: Using an ADS-based strategy, determine where sensors must be moved after determining where they should be placed. In an ADS-based solution, affinity represents the relation between nodes with ideal placements, whereas antibody refers to the entire distance traversed by mobile nodes. The results of the simulation indicate that the ADS- based redeployment scheme (ADSRD) exhibits a more rapid convergence time and a reduced total distance in comparison to a genetic algorithm based scheme.
