Iot Based Real Time Power Consumption Monitoring and Characterization of Loaded DC Motor

The Internet of Things (IoT) has become an increasingly important technology for monitoring of equipment usage in the field of industrial automation. Power monitoring schemes have been demonstrated in various studies, but the power management of a loaded motor is yet limited. In this project, we developed an IoT-based system for real-time power consumption monitoring and prediction of a DC motor under various loading conditions. The system utilized a variety of sensors to collect data on power consumption, which were then transmitted to a cloud-based platform for analysis and prediction through a customized deep neural network architecture. The results of our study showed that the IoT-based system was able to accurately predict the power consumption of the DC motor in real-time, thereby enabling us to optimize its usage and reduce energy waste. Overall, the project highlights the potential of IoT technology for power management and optimization in industrial settings. By embracing IoT solutions and integrating them into our industrial processes, we can build a more sustainable and efficient future.
