A UAV-based Geographic Location Routing Protocol Based on Fuzzy Logic Beacon and Neighbor Node Detection Adaptation

In the geographic routing protocol, the effectiveness of the neighbor list information determines the performance of the protocol. In order to maintain the accuracy of the local topology, the fixed period beacon and the fixed neighbor timeout time length mechanism are widely used. However, in the network environment with limited bandwidth resources, this method will bring the problem of communication temporary blindness, and will have a negative impact on the performance of data communication. This paper presents the adaptive geographic location routing protocol FLBD-GPSR (Fuzzy Logic Beacon and Neighbor Detection Adaptation-GPSR) based on fuzzy logic beacon and neighbor node detection, the protocol divides different influence regions and uses a fuzzy logic system to adaptively output the optimal beacon period based on the relationship between neighbor density, speed similarity, and position stability with the beacon period. At the same time, the timeout time length dynamic adjustment mechanism is adopted in the neighbor node detection. Through the comparative analysis of NS-3 network simulation platform, the proposed protocol is better than the average end-to-end delivery rate, GPSR/BP and LDAB-GPSR, and routing overhead.
