Experimental Validation of a Non-Linear Observer-Based State Feedback Controller for Induction Motor

This research focuses on the quadratic stabilization of an induction motor, conceptualized as a polytopic blend, assuring H-infinity tracking performance. Initially, the nonlinear model of the induction motor in the synchronous reference frame is transformed into a Takagi-Sugeno model with non-measurable decision variables using a sector non-linearity transformation. Following that, the Mean Value Theorem is applied to design a nonlinear observer-based state feedback controller. Utilizing the second Lyapunov theorem, convergence conditions are expressed in a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) format. The observer and controller gains are derived by solving a combination of LMI constraints in a singular step using the MATLAB/YALMIP toolbox. The proposed method's effectiveness and performance are confirmed through experimental validation.
