The Application of IoT-Assisted Intelligent Transportation System

With the application of more and more emerging technologies in the field of transportation, smart transportation emerges as the times require. Smart transportation not only has information collection and transmission of information, the analysis and decision-making of information, and the effective integrated application of information in traffic operation management make the traffic system more automated and traffic decision-making more intelligent, thus making traffic control more timely, convenient, efficient and safe. The combination of smart transportation and the Internet of Things (IoT) can further alleviate the current problem of poor traffic, and urban transportation, as an important part of urban infrastructure, plays an unusual role in urban transportation. Therefore, smart transportation will be the best way to solve the current traffic problems, and the development space and prospects are also great. This paper uses the Internet of Things technology to design the service star and hierarchical model of the intelligent transportation system. After building the transportation system database, the system login module is verified, and the path search of the command transportation system under the Dijkstra algorithm, the genetic algorithm and the ant colony algorithm is compared. The results show that the number of iterations of the ant colony algorithm is the least under the same path length, which proves that the ant colony algorithm is more suitable for the path optimization process of the intelligent transportation system.
