Hardware design and user web application development for climate monitoring and control in a smart flower pot

In this paper, an attempt has been made to design a smart flower pot according to domestic and commercial needs, so that it can meet the needs of people. First, the mechanical structure of the smart flower pot is designed. Then, all the parts needed to communicate with the smart flower pot on the internet are provided, and all of them are properly placed in its structure, therefore the conditions for communicating with the smart flower pot on the internet platform are prepared. Smart flower pot information such as temperature, humidity, soil moisture, etc. are measured and displayed on the written user web application to be viewed by the user. Besides, in order to control the water requirement of the plant and keep the soil moisture of the smart flower pot in a suitable condition, a fuzzy controller is designed to regulate the soil moisture of the plant in addition to supplying the water required by the plant for growth. All of the mentioned items can be monitored by the user, and the user can also manually water the plant and supply the required light to the plant remotely by means of one’s smart device. As a result of the work done, in addition to providing convenience for the user, it provides the possibility of two-way communication between the user and the smart pot in order to create suitable conditions for the plant.
