Modeling and state estimation of discrete event systems using Hybrid Petri Nets

This work proposes a linear algebraic model written in the form Ax ≤ b describing the dynamic behavior of Hybrid Petri Nets (HPN). The proposed model can be simulated to analyze the time evolution of the system trajectory. A state observer written in a similar form is also used to make the state estimation of HPN. The obtained results of simulation and estimation can be compared to deduce th effectiveness of the proposed models and the quality of the estimation. The obtained model is applied to an example of Hybrid Petri Net composed of discrete places and transition and continuous places and transitions to show its effectiveness.
