Renewable energies in the twenty-first century : A global-view

This paper present one of the important issues in these decades: Renewable Energies, it shows an upward trend of growth in the 21st century (from 2000 to 2022), mostly in this last five years especially with COVID-19 and world’s politics events. That’s why major research, development and implementation efforts around the world focus on sustainable energy sources.This overview is based on an effective study of the future energy sources; as we knew the five main renewable energy generation technologies are: the hydro, the wind, the solar, the biomass and the geothermal energy, so in this review, we will look at data on major renewable energy generation across the world's continents in the recent period from 1990 to 2022; its big changes and its increases.
