A Review and Synthesis for Framing the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity

Cyberattacks are becoming more complex and impose the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an efficient tool helping experts to manage security incidents and to detect Advanced Persistent Threats (APT). This paper is our State-of-the-Art addressing firstly, a memento of AI and cybersecurity metrics and indicators taking into consideration recent research and a consolidated reference to the data sources likely to be used to detect and predict the behaviors of cyberattacks in Enterprise devices, mobile and Industrial Control System (ICS) using the version 13 of MITRE ATT&CK framework. Secondly, research reviews are carried out to frame the cyberattacks frameworks and a synthesis of the cybersecurity fields using AI. Finally, discussions are followed by recommendations and perspectives as trends for future works.
