Research on Torque Adjustment Method in Engine Starting Process

The starting of the engine on the aircraft is driven by the DC motor. When the engine is started, it is used as a generator. When the DC motor is used as a motor, the starting current, starting voltage or excitation flux should be gradually increased. Only in this way can make the torque of the starter be gradually increased, thus driving the engine to start softly without impact and quickly to avoid damaging the engine blades. Therefore, it is very important to gradually increase the torque of the starter during starting. By analyzing the torque increasing method and timing mechanism of DC motor, this paper can adjust the engine torque, which has certain theoretical reference value.
