A Comprehensive Design and Development of FPGA based Wireless Light Communication using IoT Principles

The Visible Light Communication system (VLC) is widely considered to be among the most effective methods for conveying data through the use of radio frequency. VLC communication is utilized such that the enormous bandwidth, rapid data transmission speed, and high level of security that it offers may maximize their potential. Ensuring the safety of data transfer, acquiring it in a timely manner, and making it accessible are all essential components in making globalization more expedient. This project has a number of objectives, including the development of a plug-in module for the Internet of Things (IoT), the implementation of the VLC, and the resolution of safety problems. Before even beginning the design phase of the project, there are a number of things that need to be taken into consideration, such as how components behave. Having a thorough understanding of single data transmission is necessary before going on to the next step, which is multiple data transfer. An analogue front-end transceiver, a system-on-a-chip Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for Universal Asynchronous Receiver and Transmitter (UART) link, and the implementation of the Media Access Control (MAC) layer are all included in this study. According to the results of the functional test, the Ethernet connection acquired a bandwidth of about 83.6 megabits per second. On the other hand, the FPGA's clock is only set to 100 kHz because the file that is being transferred does not require a high speed. It is recommended that you begin with one bit of data and work your way up to eight bits if you are interested in learning more about Video Graphics Array (VGA) technologies. After the system has been tested and created, each of the designs must interact with the prototype and integrate with one another in order to be considered complete. These are the VLC layout and the VGA system that are presented here. The FPGA-based VLC has been successfully built by our team.
