Newfangled Automatic Car Parking Technology using RFID

In order to improve parking efficiency and save users’ time, the research’s objective was to develop a mobile application for intelligent car parking that makes use of Internet of Things (IoT) and Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. In automation operations, RFID technology has already shown to significantly lower transaction costs and stock shortages. Building upon this, a scalable and cost-effective car parking framework (CPF) is proposed. Initial prototype development has been conducted and experiments on certain components of the CPF. Here, RFID technology is employed to automate the parking process in multi-level parking facilities. By utilizing RFID tags, and readers the management of parking access for subscribers is simplified. The system harnesses RFID technology to enhance the effectiveness, security, and convenience of parking services in urban environments. By studying parking behavior and trends, cities can make educated choices to enhance parking infrastructure, overcome traffic congestion, and encourage sustainable urban growth.
